Summary
This is a project designed by a team called the Bubblenautz, including me and one other classmate. 4 Paws, 4 You was created to enhance the experience of service dog users and trainers on Miami University's campus. We specifically worked with the student run group, Paws for a Cause. Paws for a Cause is a student run organization that works with 4 Paws for Ability to train puppies to become service animals. We redesigned their logo, and created a new set of touchpoints to advertise their mission and raise money for the organization. In addition to that, we found the opportunity to design a service animal specific dog park to be located on campus, in which the organization is in desperate need of.

Process
My teammate and I started out this project with research into the background of Paws for a Cause and other similar organizations. We also sent out surveys to PFAC members and interviewed the president in order to find some of their specific pain points and problems that we could solve with design thinking. To learn more about our research process, please view our case study.
To begin the design phase of this project, we designed a logo that would serve as a jumping off point to recreating the new brand for the site, followed by the development of a style board.
We focused on applying this new brand to specific touchpoints that would encourage raising money for the organization and advertise their mission. This includes a Branded Waste Bag, Waste Bag Leash Clip, Waste Bag Package, Outdoor Waste Bag holder, Table tent for university dining halls and a Poster Ad for Walmart.
This social media advertisement was designed to get the attention of students on campus and encourage them to purchase these branded dog bags that would raise money for Paws for a Cause.
In addition to the campaign items, we also designed a service dog specific park, as a space for dogs to safely release energy, increase their chances of learning and graduating from the training program. The goal of this park is to match the aspirations of the Paws for a Cause Organization. To specifically measure the success of the project, we want to see a 12-25% increase in program graduation rates from the service dogs themselves. In addition to that, we also want to see a 50% increase in physical activity and energy release for the dogs on average, calculated from the number of hours they play per day.
This park was an important part of the development of this campaign because the organization’s dog trainers are looking to find safer ways to let their dogs release energy on campus. Currently, dogs are allowed to run around on the tennis courts which can cause damage to their paws and is not an ideal situation for dogs in general, or considering the expense of losing a future service animal.
